Lat: 49°10' N, 26°34' E, 34 miles N of Kamyanets-Podilskyy, 26 miles SW of Khmelnytskyy (Proskurov), 12 miles W of Yarmolintsy. 1900 Jewish population: 3,194. [Apr 2014]

Founded in 1362. Until 1923, Gorodok was the county town if Kamenetz Podolsk province.In the 19th century. One of the major industrial and commercial centers of Podolia.
Jews settled in the township until 1630. Jewish population: 1765 - 645 Jews in 1897. - 3194 (37% of the population) in 1926 - 1745, 1939 - 2329 (29%). Most Jews were shot in Autumn 1942. .
