A second oldest European settlement in South Africa, located is Western Cape province, about 50 kilometers east of Cape Town. Jewish Community: At one time there were 80 Jewish families in the community. Cemetery: There are 150 tombstones and, in addition, a number of unmarked graves, mainly of infants.
