Velke Zaluzie is located W of Nitra. Last known Jewish burial was in 1924. The suburban location, separate but near other cemeteries, has no sign or marker. Reached by crossing over a cemetery, access is open to all with no walls or gate. 1-20 20th century granite finely smoothed and Hebrew and German inscribed tombstones are in original locations. Adjacent properties are agricultural and cemetery. Private visitors stop rarely. Pollution and vandalism are very serious threats. Water damage is a seasonal problem.
