Rimavska Sobota is located in Rimavska Sobota, E of Lucenec. The flat urban site is separate but near other cemeteries. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all via a masonry wall and a locking gate.

500-5000 marble, granite, sandstone, and other materials 19th-20th century tombstones are in original locations. The flat shaped tombstones, finely smoothed and inscribed tombstones, flat tombstones with carved relief decoration, or multi-stones monuments, have Hebrew, German, Slovakian, and Hungarian inscriptions. Some have metallic elements and/or with metal fences around graves. The cemetery contains special memorial monuments to Holocaust victims. The local Jewish community owns the property used for Jewish cemetery only. Adjacent properties are cemetery and roads. Private visitors visit frequently. The local non-Jewish community re-erected and cleaned stones, patched broken stones, cleared vegetation, and fixed of wall. There is now a regular caretaker. Within the cemetery are a gravedigger's house and a pre-burial house with Hungarian and Slovakian inscriptions. Vandalism is a moderate threat.
