Cigel is located S of Prievidza. Last known Jewish burial was in 1944. The flat suburban location, part of a municipal cemetery, has no sign or marker. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all via a fence and a locking gate. Two 20th century granite tombstones in original locations are finely smoothed Hebrew and Slovakian inscribed stones. Adjacent properties are agricultural. Private visitors visit occasionally. Cleaning stones and clearing vegetation by individuals is the only care. No threats.
