52°44' N 17°20' E, 157.7 miles WNW of Warszawa. Mieścisko is a village in Wągrowiec powait, Greater Poland Voivodeship in west-central Poland and the seat of the administrative district called Gmina Mieścisko, 11 km (7 mi) SE of Wągrowiec and 48 km (30 mi) NE of the regional capital Poznań. The village has a population of 2,500.Gmina Mieścisko contains the villages and settlements of Budziejewko, Budziejewo, Gołaszewo, Gółka, Gorzewo, Jaroszewo Drugie, Jaroszewo Pierwsze, Jaworówko, Kłodzin, Mieścisko, Miłosławice, Mirkowice, Mirkowiczki, Nieświastowice, Piastowice, Pląskowo, Podlesie Kościelne, Podlesie Wysokie, Popowo Kościelne, Popowo-Huby, Popowo-Kolonia, Sarbia, Strzeszkowo, Wiela, Wybranówko, Wymysłowo, Żabiczyn, Zakrzewo and Zbietka. Miescisko is located in Poznan at 52º44 17º20, 55 km from Poznan. Cemetery location: 1 km NW of the town center. Present town population is 1,000-5,000 without Jews.

1921 Conservative Jewish population was 17 (1.3%). The isolated suburban flat land, 1 km away from congregation, has a sign or plaque in Polish that mentions Jews marks it. Reached by turning directly off a public road, access is open to all without wall or gate. There are no gravestones or structures. The municipality owns property used for Jewish cemetery only. The cemetery was vandalized during WWII.
