50°30' N 24°02' E, 178.0 miles SE of Warszawa. Liwcze is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Dołhobyczów within Hrubieszów powiat, Lublin Voivodeship in eastern Poland near the border with Ukraine 10 km (6 mi) S of Dołhobyczów, 37 km (23 mi) S of Hrubieszów, and 133 km (83 mi) SE of the regional capital Lublin. The village has a population of 40 in 2008. [June 2009] The Germans destroyed both the synagogue and the cemetery during the Second World War. In 1890, Liwcze was in Galicia.
