CEMETERY: Dates from the 20th century. [May 2009]

"Jewish Hill" in Komorze Nowomiejskie (near Nowe Miasto nad Warta). Not much is left. The first picture is a gravestone. Like a lot of other cemetries in Poland, this one also was destroyed by the Germans. The Germans wanted to destroy ALL memories and put cement on all the stones so no-one was able to recognize them anymore. [?] All the stones, except this one that was found long after the war, broken in two pieces and now standing in the regional Museum of Jarocin (a town 20 km. south). No one knows where exactly is this "Jewish Hill"; however, it is described in some books. It took us a long time to find it. I walked through the woods and found the stone in the picture. I tried to turn it over to read it. Then, it broke; and I discovered it was sandstone (?) with cement. Possibly i can get more photographs from the time they re-discovered the cemetery.
