Słownik Geograficzny Królestwa Polskiego (1880-1902), II, p. 59: "Dobczyce" #1. 1910 Jewish population: 404. Dobczyce is a town in S Poland situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship since 1999, previously in Kraków Voivodeship (1975-1998). Alarge dam on river Raba and a partially rebuilt 14th century castle. (Dobczyce also is the name of a small part of Bobrowniki Małe, a village in the Lesser Poland.) [April 2009]
