In ND REC Magazine, July 1986, "The Lost Jews of McIntosh" appeared. The cemetery, which belonged to sixty Jewish families and holds 21 graves, is just off the highway winding outside of the county seat of Ashley. The Jewish community existed until about the 1920s.
