LEMGO: Lemgo, Lippe (Brake?)

Jewish Cemetery: Lemgo, Lippe. Formerly on the road Blomberger. Used about 1750 to 1922. No visible gravestones. Old Cemetery: Located Ostertorwall, corner of Shepherd Street, formerly Knochenhauer Wall. Used 1721-Early 20th century. Visible gravestones: 8. During Kristallnacht in 1938, the gravestones in the cemetery were cleared. In 1940, the site was expropriated and annexed into the city ramparts. In spring 1948, the cemetery restored to a normal state. Since the gravestones no longer existed, 8 gravestones in the cemetery in Hohenhausen placed to be preserved (see at Scheffler 2008 , S.67f). .
