CONGREGATION ALBERT CEMETERY, (Reform) just NE and immediately adjacent to the Fairview Cemetery on Yale Blvd SE. It is owned by Chavura HaMidbar of Albuquerque, NM. Rabbi Chaim Shmukler of Chabad in NM officiates at burials at this site. [October 2001] http://www.congregationalbert.org/: New Mexico's oldest continuing Reform Jewish Institution since 1897. 505-883-1818, 3800 Louisiana Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. http://www.congregationalbert.org/2002/2002-10/cover.htm is the cemetery history."In 1892, the Albuquerque B'nai B'rithlodge incorporated the Jewish Cemetery Association and acquired two acres of land in what is now the Fairview Cemetery. In 1902, Congregation Albert acquired that land which has been the Congregation Albert Cemetery for more than one hundred years. The "old" section of the cemetery, 1.5 of the 2 acres, has many upright tombstones typical of Victorian times, as well as ground level markers in line with current practice." [August 2005]
