A major city located in southern half of Morocco, on the Atlantic Ocean coast. "It has a small Jewish community, and a small group of Berber Jews lives in the neighboring town of Inezgane. Source:  [February 2002]

UPDATE: The 1 March 1960 Agadir earthquake killed 12,000, of whom ten percent were Jews. In Agadir cemetery, two-thirds of the tombs are those of the people who died on that day. Muslim, Jewish, and Christian cemeteries lie side by side in an area that was never rebuilt, since it lies on the fault. Common graves exist.
