The cemetery was designed by the Jewish archiect Nathan Joseph. Families tend to be buried together in family plots. Among people buried at the cemetery: - Chief Rabbi Nathan Adler; - Chief Rabbi Israel Brodie; - Rothschild family (in family plot); - Sir Charles Clore; - Lord Bearsted.
