BIDACHE: 64520.(Pyrénées-Atlantiques département) Print
see Bayonne
A small village (about 1000 inhabitants over 30 sq. Km.) in southwestern France in the former province of Basse-Navarre, Bidache was a little principality since Antonio I (of the Gramont family) proclamed himself sovereign prince in 1570. That ended at The Revolution. Burials probably were in Bayonne, but possibly 60 graves are here. [January 2008]
