|VYSOKA LIBYNE: Plzeňský kraj, Plzeň - sever|
(Hochlibin German) used cemetery at Kozlany
Alternate names: Hochlibin, Libyne Vysoka. In the second half of the 18th century, Hochlibin never had an independent Jewish community since the Jews here always belonged to the Wallisgrün Jewish community. In 1820, 49 Jews lived in Vysoke Libyne; around 1880 20 lived there. The last Jewish family (Theodor Hönig) sold the store and farm in 1929 and moved to Sokolov (Falkenau an der Eger). The Hochlibin Jews had a prayer group and prayed in the home of F. Ignaz Abeles, who kept the records of the Jewish community.
