MENZINGEN at 49°08' N 8°46' E: see Oberoewisheim.

The Jewish community in Menzingen n the municipality of Kraichtal in the district of Karlsruhe (Baden-Württemberg was founded at least by 546 and existed until 1921. After the emigration during the Thirty Years' War some families came back. The Jewish community had a synagogue, a religious school and a ritual bath (mikvah). The  Jewish community burials were in the Jewish cemetery in Oberöwisheim [see KRAICHTAL]. The Jewish community hired a teacher/cantor/shochet called Eisenberger in 1903, possibly the last teacher. Since 1827 they belonged to the Menzingen  Jewish community Bezirksrabbinat Bretten officially dissolved in December 1921.
