Bet Hayim Cemetery: "Near Emmastadt and consecrated in 1659, the graves of prominent Curaçaoan Jewish families have 17th century Jewish sepulchral art in Portuguese, Spanish, Hebrew and other languages. Originally in open country, Shell Oil refinery surrounds the site. Its pollution has unfortunately eaten away the markings on most of the gravestones."
