|
The Isle of Man is located in the Irish Sea, approximately midway between England, Ireland, Scoland and Wales. The island is a self-governing British Crown dependency, not legally part of the United Kingdom.
THE JEWISH COMMUNITY
There is a small Jewish community on the island, with a synagogue in Douglas, the capital. In addition, a number of Jews were among those interned on the Isle of Man during both World Wars.
